I received the phone call from George to come and estimate a custom build he wanted for his garage. I was greeted at the entrance by a great big beautiful peacock and I knew right then and there that this was not going to be any ordinary job. George had a vision, which he had sketched out himself, for what he wanted to do and I was excited. We were to build a roof extending about 16 feet in front of his existing garage and it was to be finished to match the existing style of the great big house he was living in, The Seguine Mansion. The Seguine Mansion is one of the grandest homes of 19th century Staten Island.

Well we set the posts framed, roofed and finished the custom build. Working side by side with his great dog Rusty and the other 17 wild peacocks flying around, yes peacocks, was just part of this experience that I will never forget. I had never worked in a more peaceful and beautiful environment. The property truly is a sight to see, it is quiet, beautiful with a lot of nature and architecture. George’s design was spot on match with the existing Greek Revival-style architecture and we are proud to have been a part of it.
